visiting Lisboa from 27/12 to 3/1

hello,

I am visiting Lisbon with my family around new year. Since I am racing on amateur level and the weather in Portugal is likely to be better around this time than in the Netherlands, I would like to some endurance rides during my stay in Lisbon. One problem, I can't take a bike with me, and I think that renting a racing bike for EURO45/day at bikeiberia is quite expensive.

The questions I have are:
- are there any bike clubs in/around Lisbon who do club rides on MTB or racing bike in December?
- is there somebody around who'd like to do a 3-5hour ride with me?
- are there rental places where I can rent a decent road bike or MTB for a good price? Maybe I can borrow a bike from somebody?
- what would you recommend anyway in December, a road bike or a MTB?
- when MTB where should I go? And can I go there without knowing the way?
- when riding on the road, where should I go?
